Established in 1946, Mecklenburg Country Club has served as a centerpiece of Southside Virginia’s recreational and social community for generations. Designed by legendary architect Fred Findlay, our classic 9-hole regulation layout features 3,127 yards of scenic, undulating terrain from the longest tees for a par of 36. Renowned for our pristine Bentgrass greens, lush Bermuda grass fairways, and strategic sand and hill bunkers, the course offers an engaging challenge for golfers of all skill levels, rounded out by continuous paved cart paths and two signature ponds.

Beyond the fairways, the club serves as a premier destination for community life and family recreation. The clubhouse features a stocked Pro Shop, three distinct lounge areas, and a spacious banquet hall with a full kitchen—perfect for club traditions, dinners, and private celebrations. During the summer months, our outdoor swimming pool serves as a major hub for members and families. Members also enjoy our growing Pickleball and Basketball courts, which are currently undergoing maintenance and improvements to add energy and friendly competition to the club grounds.
